At the scoreboard
A quick reference from the handbook's scorekeeper guidance on pages 33–34. Use the PDF for the complete wording.
- Face the board, stay still, and avoid watching the thrower or following the darts with your head or body.
- Stay back until the turn is finished. Approach the board only if asked to check a dart's score.
- Give requested score information without suggesting a checkout or what the player should throw.
- Add the score carefully, confirm the total before the darts are removed, and double-check the subtraction.
- Bring scoring errors to both players' attention and correct them before the affected player or team throws again.
- Stay neutral and avoid talking, phone use, or other distracting movements while players throw.
Players remain responsible for checking their scores. Remember to thank your scorekeeper.
This is the supplied September 2026 revision. The handbook remains the source for the complete rules and wording.
